The Birch Ridge Inn
is a unique vacation destination!

The Birch Ridge Inn at Killington

The Birch Ridge Inn combines the best that a Vermont Country Inn can offer, with the architectural flair typically found in alpine lodges in the Western United States or Europe. The inn is located high on a ridge dotted with Silver and White Birch Trees at Butler Road, in Killington Vermont.

Centrally located in the heart of the Green Mountains, 20 miles west of Woodstock Vermont, you can drive to the Birch Ridge Inn from Burlington VT in about 1 1/2 hours; 2 1/2 hours from Albany, NY or Manchester, NH; 3 hours from Boston, MA, Hartford, CT or Montreal Canada; and 4 1/2 hours from New York City.

To enter the grounds at Birch Ridge, you will pass through a slate covered carriage way, reminiscent of an old Vermont covered bridge. Once you travel through the carriage way two massive A Frame buildings, constructed out of Vermont Slate, dominate the grounds. For your dining pleasure, one of the A Frames features a fine dining restaurant. In the second, you will find a comfortable great room, where you can put your feet up in front of a slate fireplace with your favorite beverage in hand. Between the two, you will find a comfortable sitting room suitable for relaxing.

Once you have arrived, we have the perfect recipe for a relaxing vacation! First, start off with a home-made country breakfast; then choose your favorite activity from a list including golf, hiking, biking, fishing, antiquing, exploring covered bridges, skiing, or just plain relaxing; combine a private location, nestled in the Green Mountains, surrounded by gardens in summer, breath taking foliage in the fall, and mountains of snow in the winter; and finally, garnish with a great dining and fine wines in the evening.
